Closing the loops on urban resource flows — Games for social learning and change

This seminar will focus on research at Chalmers and Kenya regarding planning and implementation of closed loop urban waste management systems.

Guest researcher Dr. Michael Oloko from Bondo University in Kenya will give an overview of activities in Kisumu, Kenya related to recycling of water and waste resources. Then Dr. Jennifer McConville will present a new cooperation project between partners in Kisumu and Gothenburg regarding the development of an urban game as a way to stimulate learning and improve decision-making related to closed-loop resource management. The seminar is supported by Mistra-Urban Futures and Formas.
